Over two days in two venues in Bethnal Green , our annual festival of live music, comedy and arts and crafts will this year have a very special theme… ANIMATION… we’ll be inviting animators, cartoonists and film-makers to come and share their craft with you…
In our workshops you’ll be able to make zoetropes, phenakistoscopes, flipbooks and short animations as well as comic strips and puppets… and on Sunday we’ll be screening some of our favourite animated shorts…

SATURDAY: Piney Gir, Adelaide’s Cape, Hot Brew, Alma No Fear, Fire Stations, Original Fireplace, Seymour’s Fat Lady, Monooka, K Anderson.
SUNDAY: The Real Tuesday Weld, Yearner Babies, The Good Gods!, Marmaduke Dando, Budda Cakes, Moustache of Insanity, Tigercats… and Princess Knickers!
with some special guests still to be confirmed!!!
We’ll also have amazing performance pieces, visuals and installations from Barometric Theatre (http://barometrictheatre.blogspot.com) and animation duo Sculpture (http://www.tapebox.co.uk)
We’ll have food and drink available all day too, and part of the proceeds from this festival will go to St Margaret’s House, a charity helping local residents, the homeless and vulnerable women in the area.
