planes didn’t fall from the sky today.

today the police appear to be doing something than telling me where i can drink beer and sit down. they’re kicking up a truckload of fuss to tell us that some ‘major players’ have been prevented from causing “mass murder on an unimaginable scale”. those particularly worn down by five years of ‘crititical’ threat levels might point out that the entry of words like imagination into the police spokesperson’s vocabulary has failed to bring actual imagination with it. but comments like that would leave one wide open to accusations of failing to prostrate oneself at the altar of MI5. and we don’t want that. it is good that no-one blew up planes over our country. it is the perfect moment to turn to israel, express our unanimous disgust at their unhindered atrocities, and give misguided fanatics one less reason to hate us.
